July '07 - More Winestate Magazine Accolades

Winestate magazine have just informed us that they have chosen our 2005 Classic Red blend of Cabernet/Shiraz for it's   Top 40 best value wines for 2007 as well as awarding it a 3-Star rating. Look out for the magazine when it is published in late June.

March '07 - Blackboy Ridge bring home trophy from Wagin

We caught the eye of the judges at this years Wagin Wollorama not only for our delectable wines, but also for our striking display of wine barrels, Wandoo benches and Blackboys, which lead to them awarding us with 1st prize for ‘Best Small Enterprise Exhibitor’!

February '07 - Gourmet Wine & Food Fest

Blackboy Ridge was joined by other local wine and gourmet food producers for this inaugural event which gave visitors the opportunity to sample and purchase a delectable selection of wine and food sourced from the Geographe region. The day was a tremendous success with the crowds able to sample the produce in a relaxing atmosphere before buying something to take home, or simply eat on the day as a picnic. There were live performances by local musicians along with children’s activities to keep everyone entertained. If you didn't make it this year we hope to see you next year. It's on the same weekend in February as the Brookhampton Estate annual concert, so book it into your diary for a weekend stay.

October '06 - Ray Jordan WA Guide to Wine

We're once again pleased to be part of Ray Jordan's new edition of his Guide to Wine 2006/07. Ray's review of our current range of wines reflecting the strength in depth being shown across both the Classic and Estate ranges of wine.

September '06 - Land for Wildlife Status

Blackboy Ridge Estate has been accepted on to Department of Environment and Conservation's 'Land for Wildlife' scheme follow an assessment of the estate's conservation value. The picturesque woodland aspects of the vineyard property will continue be protected by encouraging the regeneration of native flora which will further improve the habitat for the native fauna that already regularly visit the property from adjoining areas of State Forest.

September '06 - RSM Bird Cameron Wine Show

Blackboy Ridge Estate wins 3 medals this years RSM Bird Cameron wine show for the 2005 Classic Red, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon; and 2005 Semillon.

August '06 - James Halliday Wine Companion

For the first time Blackboy Ridge Estate has wines have been reviewed and published in the 2007 edition of the James Halliday Wine Companion. All the wines gain favourable reviews from the prestigious wine personality and show great promise for future vintages.

August '06 - Completion of The Classic Range

The Classic Range has now been completed with the addition of Classic White, a delightful blend of Chenin Blanc and Semillon to create a crisp dry white wine for the summer months. The Classic White now accompanies the other two popular favourites, Rose and Classic Red.

July '06 - Winestate Magazine

Blackboy Ridge Estate 2005 Rosé has been awarded a 3-stars rating and recommendation in the July/August '06 edition of Winestate Magazine.

September '05 - 2004 Blackboy Ridge Estate Semillon wins accolades

The 2004 Semillon pulled off medals at both the Qantas Wine Show and the RSM Bird Cameron Geographe Wine Show. It was also voted one of the "Top 40 Best Wines" under $15.00 by Winestate Magazine, as well as achieving a 4-star rating and rave review.

October '04 - Blackboy Ridge wins first wine medal

Our very first vintage red wine, 2003 Shiraz, resulted in a medal from the RSM Bird Cameron Wine Show.
